I worked with Diminished Value of Oregon for an appraisal on my Mustang, and overall I’m very satisfied with the service I received. The process did take some time, so this is not something I would expect to be completed overnight. That said, the finished appraisal was detailed, professional, and clearly put together with the intention of being useful in an actual insurance claim rather than just giving me a generic number. What impressed me most was the support after the appraisal had already been completed. I had several follow-up questions and requested clarification on parts of the report. Austin took the time to respond in detail and explain the reasoning behind the valuation, the repair calculations, the mileage adjustment, and the methodology they use. I also discovered that I had accidentally failed to properly provide a second repair supplement showing a higher final repair total. Even though the original appraisal had already been completed, Austin was still willing to review the additional documentation and correct the report once I supplied the proper supplement. That level of follow-through meant a lot, especially because the missing information was the result of my own mistake rather than theirs. Communication can take a little patience because they appear to handle a high volume of these claims, but in my experience the results were worth the wait. Austin remained helpful, answered my questions, and was willing to make sure the appraisal reflected the correct documentation. I would recommend Diminished Value of Oregon to anyone dealing with an insurance company after a significant vehicle repair. Just make sure you provide every estimate and supplement up front, be patient with the process, and give them the time needed to prepare a thorough appraisal.

Austin was a pleasure to work with. He explained everything and kept in contact throughout the process. While I settled for an amount a little lower than his appraisal, it was 100% worth getting it. Don't let the insurance company tell you you don't need to get one, because their appraisal may come in very low. You can use your own appraisal and come to the table armed to negotiate a better deal. As Austin mentioned, lawyers can work too and I was in contact with one but we ended up being close enough to his appraisal that it wasn't worth outside intervention. Again, I highly recommend DVOO or at least getting your own appraisal so the insurance company doesn't low ball the heck out of you!

My husband and I purchased a 2018 Keystone RV. It was delivered to us June 2, 2017. We were informed that the rv was damaged in transit. I consulted with Ken Nix of Diminished Value of Oregon. Ken did awesome. He knows very well how to deal with insurance. After the insurance asked for his report he advice me not to submit until the insurance hire an appraisal. If I did the insurance will hire someone to discredit his work. Once the insurance hire someone he was able to get me 2700 extra for my total loss value.

FANTASTIC JOB KEN for getting 2k above my settlement claim with Progressive on my Mazda 6. My car was stolen and progressive gave me a fast settlement offer that I didn't like and I knew I could get more which is why I searched for a person like KEN. It did take time of course and then after 2 weeks from my car being stolen it was found and then the whole process started over in a way. At first progressive was going to fix my car and then they missed something which then they had to totalled my working car. Once the car did get totalled Ken got the negotiations on my cars value and got what i wanted out of my Mazda. Instead of 8k got 10.5k plus my payment I paid for him back from progressive. All I can say is Wow! Money and time well spent. My 2001 F450 was stolen from me in June and deemed a total loss by State Farm when it was recovered in July. I found Ken’s business and he went to bat for me right away. After almost two months of State Farm creating delays and trying to cover up communication saying it didn’t happen, Ken and his team were able to get me a little over 80% more than their original offer! If you have any hesitations I say swallow them and give this man a call, but please bare in mind that with anything in the world right now, if they’re good at their job, there will be delays (recent hurricanes, flooding, vehicle crimes rising etc). Be patient, and contact Ken with any concerns, he will settle any question you have. State Farm offered me $3,000 more than the original offer after they knew Ken was involved. Ken really pulled the most value of my 2015 Evo lancer which was a total loss. Originally farmers offered me 18k. I told them I would take 24k, and they said I wasn't an appraiser. Good thing ken is, cause I got more than that. The final payout was 28,250. Wow! He is an adamant professional and very thorough.
