Review of Doherty Ford Auto Body Collision Center
I originally wrote this review in 2014. I feel Buck at Doherty Ford Body Shop, is one of the few people left in the body shop world with integrity. He does what he says and stands behind his work. He never has a problem with scrutiny because he’s so anal about the quality of the job to begin with. He knows no one else is going to be as critical of the repair, as he is. Even his customers will seldom feel as vested in the quality of the repair as Buck is. Buck has old time values, which translates to quality and integrity. If you have a damaged Ford, Doherty Ford is the best auto collision center in the area in my opinion. You’d be hard pressed to find someone who cares about your car and you, as Buck does. Buck goes beyond the normal steps, he documents every step of the repair. Giving you clear evidence of what repairs were made, You may not have as large of a loss claim if Buck at Doherty Ford repairs your vehicle, but that’s a good thing.
UPDATE November 2017: It’s been nearly a year since Buck retired, and Myron Stadelman is now the body shop manager at Doherty Ford. I’ve had the pleasure of inspecting Myron’s work over 30 times in the last year and their work is still some of the best in the area. It’s nearly as if Buck never left. Myron’s communication with our clients has been very transparent and I have no problem referring their shop to my clients with Ford, Mercury, and Lincoln vehicles all the time even if they are in Portland, they’re just that good. It’s worth the drive to have someone you can trust to do a great job. All dealership collision shops are not equal. Recently I worked with another Ford dealer where they were supposed to have replaced a liftgate with an Ford OEM part. Instead we found they had pocketed the $1,800 for the part and used bondo to make the repair.
If you have a Ford, Mercury or Lincoln, or live in the Forest Grove/Hillsboro area, I highly recommend this shop.
